Sunset in Malibu

i decided to take the DJI s800 and a couple of friends up to zuma beach on a sunday afternoon in december 2015 to get a little sunset aerial action above the waves. one of the benefits of being so close to the edge of the continent.

grading was done in davinci, and the GH3 actually shines pretty well despite the relatively low-light situation.

in 2017, VICE media contacted DEM to licence this clip for use in the netflix documentary film "Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond". you can see it in the  preview video on NETFLIX as well as in the opening titles. and a tiny bit in the trailer. pretty sweet.
